Our Washington Oaks State Park engagement session with Amanda and Nate this past weekend was so much fun! When we first met with Amanda and Nate, Amanda said, “Let’s go somewhere you don’t normally go for engagement pictures.” We had been wanting to shoot at Washington Oaks in Palm Coast since Alex proposed to me there over a year ago (a perfectly beautiful place to pop the question!) but the hour and 20 minute drive had made it hard for our clients to make it out that way. I’m SO glad Amanda and Nate were on board! We started at their house so we could grab a few photos with their fur baby Zoey, then we were on the road. We got the rare opportunity to spend some quality time in the car driving down (which really means me and Amanda gabbed the whole time while Alex and Nate listened.) The park was as stunning as I remembered it! The rose garden was in full bloom and weather was perfect. After spending sometime in the garden, we made our way down to the beach where Alex had asked me over a year ago to marry him. Much to our surprise it looked VERY different. The tide was so high, the waves were crashing on the bottom stairs! Of course adventurous Amanda and Nate didn’t even blink an eye when we asked if they minded getting a little wet. We are so happy with how the photos turned out, and we’re super excited for their wedding!
